Flora Photos

I was playing around in my backyard last night with my new little point and shoot. I bought it to have something small enough to throw in my purse, but I thought I'd test it out last night on my flowers. Enjoy!

Good One

I just got this from a friend and thought it was blog worthy.

My husband, being unhappy with my mood swings, bought me a mood ring the other day so he would be able to monitor my moods.

We've discovered that when I'm in a good mood, it turns green. When I'm in a bad mood, it leaves a big frickin red mark on his forehead.

Maybe next time he'll buy me a diamond. Dumb ass.

New Uppercase Living Catalog

We have a NEW Uppercase Living catalog!! If you haven't seen it in person, here are some images from the catalog. I'm so excited! This new catalog is so gorgeous with great ideas, new expressions, new colors and even accessories. Did I say I was excited?!?!
There are a lot of vinyl lettering companies out there now and it is even becoming popular with large retail outlets, but I must say that Uppercase Living is still leading the pack. I'm amazed at the detail of each design. The company was formed by a graphic designer (YEAH!) and you can tell that the integrity of design is still carried through with each piece.

If you want to purchase any of these expressions or view the catalog, just contact me at decorativexpressions@yahoo.com. I'd love to help you out.

Also, to view more images from the Fall/Winter 2008 catalog, check out my photostream on Flickr.

What's playing today

I've been a fan of Brad Cotter's since I first saw him on Nashville Star a few years ago. I was disappointed when he didn't make it on the country charts, but it looks like he's doing great on the Christian Country circuit. His new song gives me chills. And who can resist those dimples. ;-)

Flashback photo

"Sorry I can't make it to the airport, but I've got this suitcase stuck to my ear."

I found this while going through our stock photo collection. Too funny.

Dog Thoughts: Part 2

Ok, so far the Tequila Comment is in the lead for my funniest comment on Dog Thoughts.
Here's a new one. I always loved this picture and it should give you some great inspiration!
You know what to do. Comment with your caption. Make me laugh.

In so many words

Here's what my blog looks like in so many words. It is generated by Wordle. Try it, it's kinda fun!

Wordle is a toy for generating “word clouds” from text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes. The images you create with Wordle are yours to use however you like. You can print them out, or save them to the Wordle gallery to share with your friends.

Dog Thoughts: The Sequel

My friend had the best post the other day about some cute dog photos where she made up headlines to match the photo. Being the utterly hilarious person she is, I just had to share it with you all. Check it out.
It got me thinking of my very own beautiful girl, who I personally think is about the cutest dog on the planet, and how fun it would be for all of you out there in blog-land to come up with some captions.

So, here is the first challenge. Comment your caption. Make me laugh.

Inspiration

Sorry I've been on hiatus from blog world for awhile. Here's some inspiration...some logotype I found on my recent trip to Vegas (in MGM). Simple and beautiful.

Photo of the Day

Have you ever seen an Alpaca before? I came across this little fella this past weekend at the petting zoo in Velva. Kinda cute, huh?

Which, by the way, if you haven't attended the 4th of July Celebration in Velva, ND. I highly recommend it. It is a really fun family event and the city does a great job each year! Wonderful small town tradition....

Random Photo: Summertime flower

((That's not white spots on the lense, it is white spots on the flower. ))

Dude!

I love everything about the Bud Light Dude campaign. The site is great (check out the text messages you can send your friends....halarious), the campaign is great and of course the beer is great. I can totally relate to this, as I used to use the word DUDE a little too much in my vocabulary.

But the best part about it is for those of you that know my Vegas story, check out the Vegas Dude clip, last frame. HA!! (I tried to embed it for you, but it kept bringing up the wrong video.)

Caveman

While discussing the community bowl issue (yes, I'm STILL talking about it), my brother was telling me about a term they like to use in their town.

CAVEman

stands for

Citizens Against Virtually Everything.

I thought that was pretty clever.
