Speaking of swimsuit season...

I just received these great tips from my UBC newsletter.

Tip #1: Eat breakfast every day. Breakfast-eaters tend to consume more nutrients and fewer calories than people who skip this a.m. meal. Plus eating in the morning helps boost your metabolism at the start of the day.

Tip #2: Make smart substitutions. Use vinaigrette instead of ranch dressing, eat a whole wheat English muffin instead of a bagel, and try mustard instead of mayo. You'll save 250 calories each day. That adds up to 5 lbs. in just 10 weeks.

Tip #3: If you can, exercise in the morning. More than 90% of people who exercise consistently have a morning routine. This ensures that other things during the day won't get in the way of your workout goals.

Tip #4: Keep a water bottle with you all day. Many times when you think you're hungry, you're actually thirsty. Drinking water can help prevent you from eating extra snacks throughout the day.
