This is why I am leery whenever designing a logo...can you really come up with something that hasn't been done before?
READ ABOUT IT HERE
For what it's worth, though, I like it. I especially like how the typography plays off the free flowing lines of the mark. The only thing I don't like is how it would translate as a solid color (picture this imagery all black). I know 3D and gradients add a new dimension, but I still prefer developing logos that will transfer well across all mediums and the imagery remains defined. But that's just me...and I'm not in charge of designing logos that will have so much exposure!

| My two little beauties |
The top two photos were my inspiration. I had been browsing dining room sets at Pier1. But instead of spending over $400 on chairs, I thought I would try and utilize what I already have. We have had this dining set forever and it was originally a hand-me-down so I really had nothing to lose if they didn't turn out.
My plan was to add a pop of color and paint each chair a different color and I am really loving the results. It wasn't until I added the 'antiqued' layer of black paint that they really came to life. It revealed such awesome characteristics in the wood!
Old chairs + spray paint + black paint = a hip style adding color and creativity to your dining room!
Next up: turquoise and orange!

Design Dilemma!
1. Leave it as is, with mirrors in the back and leave the shelving the same light oak wood color
2. Scrap the mirrors in the back and paint it all white, including the shelving
3. Put patterned wallpaper in the back to cover up the mirrors and paint the shelves white
4. Remove the shelves and the mirrors all together and use it as a regular alcove, possibly tiling the background.
I want to make it functional for either photos and accessories, or as a unique focal point to the living room space. I just can't decide!! Help???

Grandma's Dresser
Here is my next project! This was my husband's grandmother's dresser. It is finding a new home in my daughter's room. I love the clean lines of this piece and it is so functional, boasting huge deep drawers! While I don't mind the natural blonde finish I want to make it a bit more fun and colorful. But now what to do, what to do....so many options! Stay tuned.

Great logo for dental practice
I just had to share this logo. Isn't it awesome? Someone with much more experience could explain it better, but let's just say it works.
Kudos to Mike Bruner, designer extraordinaire. The man never ceases to amaze me.

Glass Totems for your Garden
If you want to make your own, perhaps you should take a stroll east of town. My mom had originally brought the pieces out to the Cozy Cottage in Granville to donate, but ended up staying and making a garden totem out of them. So glad she did, because you know who is going to claim it next!
Google "glass garden totem" for more great images and ideas. You can visit Cozy Cottage at http://cozycottage.weebly.com/index.html
