Technically, pregnancy isn't really 10 months either. Human gestation is 40 weeks, but there aren't 4 weeks in a month (if there were 4 weeks in a month, our year would be 13 months long...not 12 months -- there are 4 1/3 weeks in a month), so it's like 9.5ish.
